Is Blind Melon an underrated band?

As a fairly entertaining Guns 'n' Roses-ish commercial hard rock band, with vague alt-rock leanings and a self-sabotaging lead singer who died after only one hit, I think they've gotten approximately the right amount of attention over the years.
