What is the truth about heir regrowth after tweezing or waxing?
I have heard 2 vastly different ideas on how hair grows back. I went to have some laser hair removal done and they told me that by pulling the hair from the root you are causing the follicle to become stronger to try and resist being pulled out again, thus causing the hair to come back coarser and thicker. I understand how it benefits them to have that school of thought out there so they definitely have an agenda. I have also heard that over time pulling the hair from the root makes it come back softer and finer, I have not had this explained to me in biological terms so I don't know what would cause it to happen, but I think an example would be how excessive eyebrow plucking will make your brows thinner and eventually cause them not to grow back. Is it a difference in where the hair is on the body? I'm hoping for an across the board answer and not something that may be dependent on a persons hormone level, etc.
