Is he scared, or what?

Okay, i just got a boyfriend dont take it weird or diff. he is 14 im 12. We used to talk and stuff when we were "friends" now were dating... its weird. We talk over txt and stuff till 12, say ily and stuff. he will wave and be like hey or whats up when i see in in the halls. Hes in 8th im in 6th. so were both in Jr. High (i go to a CATHOLIC SCHOOL so its like that) what bothers me is we never hug or hold hands:( i dont wanna kiss him or anything like that tho. i mean ppl call up barbie and kin:) but we nvr really do bf gf stuff. I mean im not suck on myself but im cute and he is hottt. i mean SMOKIN. he is also captin is soccer:) anywho also my friend liked him and when he asked me out she was pissed so ya. any advice? p.s. he migh be takin it slow bc he told me that his last gf was in 6th grade and only fer 3 days. he wants a long relationship??? what do i do???
