Has anyone realized how strange "Scooby Doo, Where Are You!" was?

This cartoon was made in the 60's or 70's? Lot's of drugs back in those days. That would explain some of the wacko cartoons back in those days. I think some of those animators were on LSD, peyote, shrooms, or into toad licking. ( ^ _ ^ )
